So it’s been a few weeks or months since you posted that amazing video you put so much time, planning and effort into. Now what? Have you just thrown away your money on a single-use piece of marketing?
Absolutely not!
Video is one of, if not the, most versatile mediums in marketing today. How many times have you come across highlight clips or reels from your favourite artists or shows? YouTube Channels like WatchMojo and Tasty create hours of content from already published media.
How can you get more value out of your videos then? Easy! Check out these 4 simple ideas to get more out of your videos.
This is the best way to get more out of your videos because it gives you new content. You can repurpose your video footage and content into new videos such as:
- Profile videos for yourself, business or area
- Sizzle Reels to summarise a month, year or quarter
- Market Reports or Updates
Each of these types of videos are themselves highly customisable to your style and brand. The sky’s the limit!
Don’t just rely on people searching Google or Youtube to find your content, put it in front of them! If you do a newsletter, email blast or blog; post a link to it with a thumbnail. Many blog sites & email templates support adding videos.
Hyperlinks to your video in email footers or sms are another great way to get your content in front of people. They are updatable and very customisable. You can encourage someone to “check out your new listing” and link to a property video, “get to know you” and link your profile video, or even “see what’s happening in the market” and link to your latest market wrap video.
Reposting a video might sound dumb because you’ve already posted it, right? Not at all. Content is so quickly consumed online that people will forget about it so a re-post will either seem like new content or a lovely reminder of what they had watched months or years before.
You can repost as a throwback, reminder of an event, re-sharing your favourite content or even just as a memory.
You can always update a video with new information and footage. You can record a new voiceover or piece to camera, new overlay footage and update the graphics or branding.
This helps your video & content remain relevant and allows you to repost it. There can be some limitations with this depending on how the original video was put together so if you intend to do this it’s best to let your video supplier know so they can keep a hold of the relevant files.
These are just a few ways to get bang for your buck from your videos!
