MEET KIM

Areas: Northern Suburbs, Hills and City

Services: Photography & Floorplans

What do you love taking photos of apart from Real Estate?

I really love landscape and lifestyle photography. I really like to combine the two if I can. And if it’s at the beach, or overlooking an ocean? Even better.

What is your favorite Perth suburb and why?

I really love Mullaloo and Cottesloe. Mullaloo because it has my favourite beach (are we sensing a beach theme here yet?) and it’s just a peaceful little suburb with friendly people. Cottesloe was the first place I ever went when I arrived on holiday one year, and I’ve just loved it ever since. It has cute little shops and just holds lots of nice memories for me.

What is your favorite type of property to shoot?

I really love shooting either really modern properties with all the bells and whistles, high ceilings, lots of light/windows and all that jazz, or I love to shoot the completely weird and wonderful! I shoot a lot in The Hills and the houses up there, are incredible! So many quirky builds and fun architecture in those areas.
I also love when people combine the modern with the old and traditional. That’s always a fun time. I’m constantly taking little mental notes of things I love for when I (hopefully) build one day!

What is the weirdest thing you have encountered onsite?

When I was a photographer in London, I actually came across a house that was occupied by a family that were so convinced that the 2012 prophecy of “the end of the world” was going to happen, that they built an entire second home bunker deep under their house. I wasn’t allowed to photograph that bit of course, because of the “safety implications” apparently, but yeah. It was nutty. They were lovely people though!
